Visit to orphanage “Karena Doa”

On 7 March 2017, we have visited the orphanage “Karena Doa”, which means “through prayer did it come”, in Sawangan-Depok.

The orphanage was established on 1 July 1984 by John and Deborah S. John was 3 months old and became a half orphan when his father died.

He has been through a lot and decided, at a young age, that when he became a man, he and his wife would set up an orphanage. So he did that on 01 July 1984 successful.

Unfortunately Mr Johannes died on the age of 62, after a fantastic marriage of 37 years, on 15 October 2005.
His wife, now in 2017 at the age of 72 years (!!)put on his life’s work.
If Mrs Deborah die, their son and daughter put on the life’s work of their parents.

Currently there are 42 orphans housed in the age group between 3 and 20 years.
The orphans go to school and get music lessons from Deborah’s daughter.
ABWF will Be committed to this orphanage

We will keep you updated!!

drie weeskinderen op bed.

Deze drie jongetjes kwamen net uit school en rusten even uit voordat ze aan de slag gaan.

Jongetje zingt in microfoon
